Welcome Letter 2023-2024

Dear Up-and-Coming Fourth Graders:

I hope you are having a sensational summer vacation. I am excited to be your fourth-grade teacher and I am happy to get back to school! We will be learning about many important concepts across the curriculum in grade four, and studying such units as the State of Maine and Ecology. You will read many new books, experiment with mathematical algorithms, and investigate the scientific world from a new, more advanced perspective.

We are excited to share that  Mrs. Bucci and I will be co-teaching our math and reading curriculums. I will be teaching math and Mrs. Bucci will be teaching reading. Students will be given the opportunity to transition from one classroom to another each morning. The curriculum will remain the same as in years past; it will just be provided by two teachers with expertise in each area instead of one.

We are very excited to be meeting all of our students and will be working on building a strong community between the two classrooms.  We have a variety of activities including games, arts and crafts, and social events to promote new friendships.
